Transfer

Description

Transfer lets you move a call from one telephone to another. Before completing a Transfer, you can consult privately with the third party and swap between private conversations with each of the parties.

To Transfer an active call:

  1. Press Flash or flash the switchhook.

  2. Dial the number of the third party.

  3. Do one of the following:

  4. To complete the transfer, hang up.

  5. To announce the transfer, wait for an answer, consult, and hang up.

  6. To retrieve the call, press Flash or flash the switchhook and dial the Call Hold - Retrieve Feature Access Code.

To Transfer an active call:

  1. Press Trans/Conf, , the Transfer softkey or a Transfer programmable key.

  2. Dial the number of the third party.

  3. Do one of the following:

  4. To complete the Transfer, hang up or press the Transfer softkey (6910, 6920, 6930, 6940, 6970 sets).

  5. To announce the Transfer, wait for an answer, consult, and hang up or press the Transfer softkey (6910, 6920, 6930, 6940,6970 sets).

  6. To retrieve the call, press Cancel, or Back to Held.

5304 IP Phone and 5302 SIP Phone

To Transfer an active call:

  1. Press TRNSF or the programmed Transfer/Conference key.

  2. Dial the number of the next party.

  3. Do one of the following:

  4. To complete the Transfer, hang up.

  5. To announce the Transfer, wait for an answer, consult, and then hang up.

  6. (5304 only) To return to the first call before completing the transfer, replace then lift the handset or by pressing the lit line key.

  7. (5302 only) To return to the first call before completing the transfer, press ## or replace then lift the handset and then press the lit line key.

5140 IP Phone and 5240 IP Phone

To Transfer an active call:

  1. Press Trans/ Conf.

  2. Dial the number of the third party.

  3. Do one of the following:

  4. To complete the Transfer, hang up or press Release Me.

  5. To announce the Transfer, wait for an answer, consult, and then hang up.

  6. To retrieve the call, press Back To Held or Trade Calls.

Attendant Consoles

To Transfer an active call:

  1. Dial the number of the third party.

  2. Do one of the following:

  1. Press FCT.

  2. Press # until Trans/ Conf is displayed.

  3. Press END.

  4. Dial the number of the third party.

  5. Do one of the following:

  7. To announce the Transfer, wait for an answer, consult, and press END.

To Transfer an active call:

  1. Press FCT.

  2. Press down arrow key until Trans/ Conf is displayed.

  3. Press the End Key.

  4. Dial the number of the third party.

  5. Do one of the following:
